Veterinary Exam

Book your pet's next wellness exam to keep them happy and healthy.

No matter how deep your connection is with your furry friends, they still unfortunately cannot tell you if they are feeling sick. Especially if the condition they have has no visible symptoms or warning signs. Many pets also have a natural instinct to hide any signs of weakness. This is why regular veterinary exams are so important to keeping your pet healthy. Has it been more than one year since your pet’s last check-up? If so, call us at 780-475-9225 to schedule an appointment and learn more about the benefits of regular examinations. Our client care representatives will do their best to reserve a time that works best for you!

How often do pets need to go to the vet?

It depends on your pet’s unique health status and lifestyle. If your pet is generally in good health, once-per-year exams are often enough. If they are senior age, they should see the vet twice per year. Pets who are very active (e.g. hunting dogs) should also be examined at a higher frequency because their bodies will go through more wear and tear than other pets.

What happens during a veterinary exam?

One of our veterinarians will do a visual check from head to paw looking for any signs of disease like unusual bumps, rashes, movements and more. Additional diagnostics like X-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork may be ordered along with routine fecal and urine tests. We will also check your pet’s temperature, heart rate and weight.

How much does a veterinary exam cost?
