Vaccines are an effective way to protect your pet against harmful diseases.
Your loyal companion may seem indestructible, but they need more protection than you may think. Especially when they are still puppies, your canine friend is vulnerable against a wide variety of serious and life-threatening diseases. Fortunately, a series of easy and relatively pain free vaccines is all it takes to boost their immunity. Plus, some vaccines like the one against Rabies are required by law. As a responsible pet parent, it’s important to make sure you get your pet vaccinated. Our team is here to help you stay on top of their dosing schedules. Time is of the essence when it comes to vaccinations. We suggest your puppy receives their first series of shots at 8 weeks, followed by boosters at the 12-week and 16-week-old mark.
During each of your pet’s wellness exams, your veterinarian can assess their vaccination needs. Some vaccines are “core” and need to be given to all dogs. Others are “non-core” and can be given based on lifestyle (this means they are not mandatory). We can administer vaccines that fight Bordetella, Canine Hepatitis Virus, Distemper, Lyme disease, Bordetella, Rabies, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and more.
After puppy age, dogs still need to be vaccinated when they reach adulthood. Depending on the type of vaccines your veterinarian recommends, your dog will need to be immunized once every three years.
